What To do after Graduation

Before Internship/Clerkship/Observership, buy

1. Littman Stethoscope - if you have nothing else, have this
2. Clipboard Folder - for writing your notes and storing relevant forms
3. 12 rolls of micropore 3M tape - good to have your own, hospitals sometimes have none.
4. thermometer- Good to have your own, High patient to instrument ratio
5. pulse oximeter - Good to have your own, High patient to instrument ratio
6. face masks- Not mandatory, only for precautionary measures

9. lunch bag
10. water bottle
11. pens (gel and non gel)- gel pens aren't good for writing on test tubes, always have non gel
12. pocket protector - so you don't stain your white coat (trust me it will happen)
13. scrubs (& scrub caps) - sometimes OT has no scrub caps, good to have your own
14. crocs
15. comfortable work shoes - Hush puppies/ Flats never fail
16. socks
17. compression socks
